The Kenya Revenue Authority has announced that citizens can now access a wide range of its services on the eCitizen platform.
KRA said Kenyans can now save time by seeking its services on the Citizen platform.
“You can now access a wide range of our services on eCitizen. Experience seamless access and save time with this all-in-one solution,” KRA said.
“All KRA services are now in one place.”
The tax authority said the convenient way for taxpayers to file their tax returns, make tax payments, and access various tax-related services is online.
Other popular services sought by Kenyans on the eCitizen platform include the NTSA’s Provisional Driving Licence.
Kenyans also seek Business registration services, Police Clearance which comes with a Certificate of Good Conduct.
Civil registration services like marriages can also be accessed on the platform.
Others may seek Directorate of Immigration Services, services from the Kenya Ports Authority when importing or exporting goods, HELB services for learners, and MSMEs (Hustler Fund) for businesses.
Treasury CS Njuguna Ndung’u said eCitizen platform shall charge a nominal administrative fee per transaction, which shall be pro-rated as follows:
Payments of below Sh199 will come with a cost of Sh5.
Kenyans making payments of between Sh.200 and Sh299 will be charged Sh10.
Payments of between Sh300 and Sh499 will come with a charge rate of Sh15.
For eCitizen payments ranging between Sh500 and Sh699, one will pay a charge rate of Sh20.
Payments ranging between Sh700 and Sh999 will come with a charge of Sh25.
Any payment above Sh1000 will cost one Sh50.
For any US dollar, one will be charged $1.
